SOLISCA is a Renewable Energy Community launched in Turano Lodigiano (Lodi, Italy), in partnership between the Municipality and Sorgenia. The project installed two photovoltaic systems (~45–47 kW total) and involves households, municipal buildings, and the parish. A digital platform manages the monitoring, energy sharing, and economic redistribution. It represents one of the first fully operational RECs in Italy and a replicable governance model for small municipalities.

The Renewable Energy Community of Magliano Alpi (Cuneo, Italy) is the first officially recognized REC under Italian law. The initiative was promoted by the Municipality with support from RSE and ENEA. It integrates public and private photovoltaic systems to collectively self-consume renewable electricity at local level. The community operates as a cooperative structure, involving citizens, public entities, and SMEs. It has become a national reference point for policy and technical development of RECs in Italy.

CER Fiemme, located in Trentino (Northern Italy), is a cooperative-based Renewable Energy Community established by local citizens, utilities, and municipalities of the Val di Fiemme area. The initiative integrates small hydro, biomass, and photovoltaic systems to ensure energy self-sufficiency and promote local sustainability. The community uses digital monitoring to balance energy production and optimize local grid performance in mountainous areas.

Green Land is a Renewable Energy Community (REC) located on the Alpe Cimbra (Trentino, Northern Italy). It connects farms, agri-businesses, and local authorities to share renewable electricity generated from solar and biogas plants. The initiative aims to decarbonize the agricultural sector while promoting circular economy models. Green Land also acts as a demonstration site for smart energy management in rural contexts, integrating IoT monitoring and community-driven reinvestment of profits.

KONCERT is an Italian-led innovation project based in Mezzocorona (Trentino, Northern Italy), developing a digital platform for the coordination, engagement, and management of Renewable Energy Communities. The project combines data analytics, blockchain-based transparency, and citizen participation tools to simplify energy sharing and governance. KONCERT supports municipalities and citizens in creating resilient, transparent, and data-driven energy ecosystems aligned with the EU Green Deal.
