COMMUNITAS Project
Digital Toolbox and Approach for Empowering Renewable Energy Communities

Summary: <p>COMMUNITAS is an EU project that develops tools, guidelines, demonstrators, and digital solutions to place citizens and Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) at the core of the energy transition. It supports the digitalization, decarbonization, and democratization of local energy systems through practical instruments, methodologies, and real-life pilot cases.</p>

Main objectives: <p>Provide digital tools and methodologies to facilitate the creation and management of RECs.</p><p>Test solutions in real-life contexts to validate technical, social, and governance models.</p><p>Support replicability and scalability across EU countries and diverse regulatory environments.</p>

Focus group: <p>Policy-makers, local authorities, energy aggregators, cooperatives, researchers, DSO/TSOs, and citizen/prosumer groups.</p>

How to apply: <p>Public access via the official COMMUNITAS website, which provides open-access deliverables, digital tools, reports, and guidelines.</p>
