It is important for designing, implementing, and maintaining energy systems within an EC. This includes expertise in renewable energy technologies, energy systems design, and the use of management tools to optimize operations.
COMMUNITAS project promotes energy citizenship and empowering citizens to take control of their own sustainability journey by becoming active participants in energy markets. The project will provide a set of innovative tools to unlock citizen participation in energy markets and communities.
Covers technical approaches, best practices, and lessons learned from other EU-funded projects related to Energy Communities.
Summary: <p>Web application supported by blockchain technology, which offers a suppervision of certificates for produced green energy in a Energy Community. Each certificate, called guarantee of origin, is the proof that an amount of energy has been produced by a green energy source during a period of time. The tool will support community stakeholders with the cycle of life of each energy and its sharing among them, all in a transparent and graphical way.</p>
Main objectives: <p>To increase the use of green energy.</p><p>To validate the green energy produced and consumed by the local community.</p>
Focus group: <p>Stakeholders related to an Energy Community: managers, members, external producers and traders</p>
How to apply: <p>It is a SaaS. Users are allowed to self create their accounts. Also, through the Communitas Core Platform interface.</p>
